By Rachel Speck. From the artist:
"4 of shells. 4 color hand drawn and hand pulled silkscreen print. on Neenah paper’s stardream cardstock. 11.5 in x 14.25 in
The 4 of shells features 3 hermit crabs and a slightly concha shell in the lobster claw (flowers). The four of cups /shells typically refers to a time of boredom, ennui, dissatisfaction, and/or self-involvement. Nothing is satisfying. You know what you want and this isn’t it. It can have positives (like you know what you want) or negatives (like you are dissatisfied with everything and everyone and have a lack of general excitement.
I used the hermit crabs because well the name kind of speaks for itself. I used the lobster claws as I have a memory of being in high school, at a relative’s house in central Florida, watching the lobster claws in their backyard. They were swaying back and forth in the Atlantic breeze. I was thinking to myself on how I wanted to be anywhere else but there."
